Again, thank you for your patience, and my speech is improving after my surgery. I'm doing pretty good and I know sometimes you can hear dings and whistles and all kinds of little bells on my computer and podcast. I enjoy this and I do it for fun, but I do it to please Jesus and that doesn't bother me. If it bothers you, I apologize, but a lot of us Christians are just too serious. Anyway, I'm not. Anyway, here we go.

Chaplain Terry Warner:

The Israelites had a tent for their God for around 400 years. Most of the time the tent remained at Shiloh. That'd be Exodus 25-40, those chapters. Shiloh was around 20 miles from Jerusalem. The Jewish people wanted a special place where they could offer sacrifices and prayers to Jehovah. King David wanted to build Jehovah the temple but was not allowed because King David was a warrior and not a man of peace. 1 Chronicles 22 8. He had conquered nations that might have been embittered toward Israel's God, and God's purpose was to win, through his nation, other nations to himself, not just the Jewish people. God's always been about saving mankind. He's good. God's always been about saving mankind. He's good, he's a good God. Did you know? Old Robert's got in trouble for saying that God is a good God. People got mad at him for saying that Solomon's temple would be the most costly and resplendent building on earth at this time.

Chaplain Terry Warner:

Solomon conscripted or hired 70,000 men as carriers and 80,000 as stone cutters and 3,600 as foremen. Over them. All the stones and timbers were hewn or cut out and then transported to the temple where they were fitted into place. There was no hammer or hammering allowed on the building of the temple. Solomon also took a census of all the non-Israelites who were in Israel. They counted 153,600. Solomon assigned 70,000 to be carriers and 80,000 to be stone cutters. Solomon also accumulated chariots and horses. He had 1,400 chariots and 12,000 horses. King Solomon made silver and gold as common in Jerusalem. As stones that's 1 Chronicles 1, verses 14 and 15. As stones that's 1 Chronicles 1, verses 14 and 15. The gold and the silver and other materials came to some 370 tons. Everything was coated in gold.

Chaplain Terry Warner:

Psalm 68 19. Blessed be the Lord who daily loads us with benefits, even the God of our salvation. Selah, meaning, think about this. I'm going to read you another benefits. Psalm 103 lists our benefits, from forgiving all of our sins to allowing us to use angels to help us enjoy the benefits of God while on this earth. Hebrews 1 1414. Let us use angels to aid us in life while on this earth. Are you using angels God has sent to you to draw closer to God, to help you in your walk with the Lord?

Chaplain Terry Warner:

The Old Testament. People were limited to knowing God because the salvation of the believer was carried out through the Levitical priesthood and outward acts of sacrifices in certain festivals. The Holy Spirit could speak through prophets and priests, but was unable to communicate with men because the Spirit in man had not been made holy, in other words, jesus hadn't come yet. Man is a spirit being. He has a soul that is made up of his mind, his will, that's his intellect and senses. The mind is his will, his mind, his emotion, your soul. Let me say that better. Sorry about that. Let me say that better. Sorry about that. Man is a spirit being. He has a soul. The soul is made up of his mind, his will and his senses, and the senses being sight, smell, hearing, taste and touch.

Chaplain Terry Warner:

So we see that the heart would have to be changed for God to dwell in and communicate with man, because we know from Proverbs 4.23, what are the issues of life? Specifically, the issues of life are the decisions we make and live out in our daily lives. Everyone is a distinct individual and the issues vary and even are different for each individual. So what is wrong and not permitted to me is going to be different to you. The main point is it is not the gold, the sacrifices, the dress or any material object that is going to cause you to miss out on becoming a child of God. It is the unseen issues pride, integrity, character, love that flow out of the heart of a man, that makes him clean or unclean as a man.

Chaplain Terry Warner:

We look at the human appearance of a person. We look at the human appearance of a person. God looks at the heart. 1 Samuel 16, 7. Look at our current presidential election that we're having right now with our candidates. We judge appearance and how the candidate acts and not by his deeds and decisions of his life. Well, you know, we put up with this and we don't put up with that. But we look at the person and we either like him or we don't like him, especially how he dresses or if he looks or something like that. We are even instructed by God to not look back and do not bring back old issues and bad decisions, but to forget the past Philippians 3, 13 through 14. And press on toward fulfilling the path God has made for us. Oh that we would learn that in our society, in our political realm, and put all this bickering and backbiting behind us and arguing behind us and work to a more perfect United States.

Chaplain Terry Warner:

So what are some of our benefits of the Christian lifestyle? Some are found by reading Psalm 103. And I'm going to take a minute and read you Psalm 103 and comment as we go. Verse 1, bless the Lord O my soul and all that is within me. Bless his holy name. Number 2, bless the Lord O my soul and forget not all his benefits. Here we go.

Chaplain Terry Warner:

Verse 3, who forgives all your iniquities, lack of fairness and injustice. Who heals all your diseases? Number 4, who redeems your life from destruction Jeremiah 29, 11. Who crowns you with loving, kindness and tender mercies. Verse five who satisfies your mouth with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagles. Verse six the Lord executes righteousness and judgment for all that are oppressed. Verse seven he made his ways known.

Chaplain Terry Warner:

Now I'm just going to keep on reading here. Verse 9. He will not always chide or or scold or rebuke, neither will he keep his anger forever, verse 10. He has not dealt with us after our sins, thank goodness, nor rewarded us according to our iniquities. Really, thank goodness. Verse 11. For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him.

Chaplain Terry Warner:

Verse 12., 13., 14., 15. The Lord pities them that fear him. 14. For he knows our frame, our inner self, our structure. He remembers that we are dust. 15. As for man, his days are as a grass and as a flower in the field, till he flourishes. 16. For the wind passes over it and it is gone, and the place thereof shall know it no more. 17. But the mercy of the Lord is, from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him, and his righteousness unto his children's children. 18. To such as keep his covenants Old Testament and New Testament and to those who remember his commandments to do them.

Chaplain Terry Warner:

James 2.17. Faith without corresponding action is dead. Verse 19 the Lord has prepared his throne in the heavens and his kingdom rules over all. Verse 20 Bless the Lord. You, as angels that excel in strength, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word, you getting that Christian. The angels will respond to the word of God. Your angels will respond to the word of God and go ahead before you. Verse 21. Bless the Lord all his hosts, you ministers of his that do his pleasure. 22. Bless the Lord all his works and all places of his dominion. Bless the Lord, o my soul.

Chaplain Terry Warner:

You see, when Adam ate the fruit and turned God's creation over to the devil, the damage that was done was not to kings and kingdoms of earth, but rather to the spirit side, the side you can't see, and it affected everything, from the throne of God down, even the heavenly utensils up in heaven. And then we're put into submission to a fallen angel, which we call Satan or the devil. He's a fallen angel. He was never anything. He gets everything by cheating and lying and stealing and he doesn't have anything. Nothing belongs to him. Nothing that you had, nothing that you have, nothing that you're going to have belongs to the devil. All your good gifts come from God. If it steals, if it kills, it destroys, it's the devil. If it's blessings and goodness and mercy, and peaceful and comfortable I won't say so much comfortable, you know what I'm talking about If it speaks to your spirit, man, and makes you feel good and closer to God, it's God. The devil will not do that.

Chaplain Terry Warner:

But when Adam sinned, everything remained under Satan's authority, unto Jesus, god's son. God's son was able to reconcile the world through his own blood sacrifice on the cross. It was the Father working in Jesus that reconciled himself to the world. Did you know God's not mad at you? Did you know he's not trying to teach you something? The Word is your instructor, the Holy Spirit is your instructor. God himself is your instructor, not the world or experience or the devil, or sickness or sin or disease. That's not teaching you anything, except maybe giving you the idea to draw closer to God, and that's the last thing the devil wants you to do. What did the sacrifice redeem? It redeemed man 100% from the devil's curse and made the way for man to be born again in spirit and truth and restored to a level of being a child and a joint heir of Jesus Christ.

Chaplain Terry Warner:

Get in and look at the blessings and curses in Deuteronomy, around chapters 27, 28, 29, and read them. You'll be amazed at what's under the curse. Did you know mildew, plain old mildew, is under the curse. Did you know drying up your croplands? Well, let me just say it this way If it's not a God, if it doesn't bless you and make you a better person, it more than likely is part of the curse. God's word will make you better, not make you worse. In other words, jesus is the head of the body of believers and we believers or Christians, are the actual body of Christ. If the Holy Spirit needs to go somewhere, the body of Christ takes him there. That's you and me.

Chaplain Terry Warner:

Jesus came to earth, suffered, was crucified, died, went to hell, and God, the Father, raised him from the dead and seated him in heavenly places, far above all principality, power and dominion, and given him a name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow of things in heaven and things in earth and things under the earth. Cancer is a name and it has to bow to the name of Jesus. Jesus then sent the Holy Spirit to earth so the believer could have the ability to conquer the devil until Jesus returned for his church. What have we done? We have taken our blessings and privileges and built up the earth and rejoined the devil and helping him build new kingdoms and empires that will soon be destroyed when Christ returns. But the redemptive work of Christ has not been defeated. All you have to do is give your heart to Jesus Christ by asking him to come into your life and take over. When you do that, your sins will be forgiven, you will be reborn and given a sonship relation to the family of God. Romans 10, 9 and 10.

Chaplain Terry Warner:

Now back to the benefits, everything that God has given Jesus. You now have the same rights and privileges as Jesus. Don't waste your time and effort building up treasure, like Solomon did all of that gold and silver. The silver was so common that it was piled up in his backyard and just sat there on the ground. Nobody wanted it. Solomon failed because he didn't follow God's rules and statutes. God is a spirit and we must worship him in spirit and in truth first and foremost. Then all these other things will come unto you but will not have control of you. But you will be able to control it. It's not the love of money that's the root of all evil. It's the love of money that's the root of all evil. It's putting money ahead of God. You put God ahead of everything and the money will take care of itself.

Chaplain Terry Warner:

So start your new journey today, finding out about your new benefits that God has ready for you. Start by finding out who you really are in Christ. Here are a few Bible verses to get you going. Go through the New Testament and every time you see in Christ, in whom, in him, in the beloved by Christ by him, in the beloved by Christ by him, that's saying what a privilege and a benefit you have in Christ. So let me pick up here In Christ. In them we have adoption, forgiveness, justification and the gift of the Holy Spirit. Acts 17, 28. Ephesians 2, 10. 2 Corinthians 5, 21. Romans 8, 1. And many, many more. There is around 180 times of in Christ, in Him, in the Beloved, in the Lord, in whom, by Christ, by Him, by Himself, and many more.

Chaplain Terry Warner:

Just get to reading and every time you find one of those, highlight it with your red pencil or yellow pencil or yellow marker or something where you can come back and see it when you just glimpse at your Bible. Get to learn that word. Read what the word says. I know it's a big book, but so is your life a big issue and a big history. And God's a big book, but so is your life a big issue and a big history. And God's a big God. You can do it. You have the mind of Christ. Did you know that Jesus Christ has made unto me wisdom, righteousness, sanctification and redemption? I'll let you look that one up yourself.

Chaplain Terry Warner:

God wants to change into a better person and would love for you to become his child and enter eternal life. But even God can't go against your will. Are you tired of all the politics, greed, frustration and vanity that the world is offering? Why don't you pray a simple prayer and ask God to come in and make your life an eternal destination, a secure choice provided for you by Jesus Christ? You are only one prayer away from a life of peace and becoming a child of God. One prayer you have a blessed day In Jesus' name, amen.
