Let's get going with today's podcast. The title of it is Mental Ascent. It's season four, episode 25. It will air on June 17, 2024. For the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead. That's James 2.26. James 2.26. With the invention of artificial intelligence, it is apparent that we have left our guard down, or let our guard down on common sense. Ai, or in other words artificial intelligence, has decided through its vast knowledge that we don't need faith anymore if we have Google. Ai even thinks there is more than two genders of humans. It is a good thing we didn't have AI when we sent men to the moon, because they wouldn't be able to select the right orbital path to take. How would we have known that our seas were rising without the water line increasing? California should be underwater or at least a few places would be muddy Enough foolishness. Mental ascent is knowing information in your head, but that information has not made it to your heart. The main point is we try to believe God and His Word through physical evidence and not faith in His Word. Consequently, we pray to god and become disappointed when god doesn't-found evidence that we will give the person paying a quick and painless answer. Sometimes waiting or even a no answer is what you need to hear to mold you into a loving, compassionate and teachable Christian. 1 Corinthians 1 30. But of him are you, in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom and righteousness and sanctification and redemption. Just that single Bible verse puts AI in the trash and the junk drawer. We already have an AI Bible.

Chaplain Terry Warner:

Hmm, I wonder where a mechanical, functioning computer got its spiritual insight. I wonder if AI has measured the waters in the hollow of his hand or with the breath of his hand marked off the heavens. Who has held the dust of the earth in a basket and comprehended it? Or weighed the mountains on scales and the hills in a balance, you realize this world orbits through space effortlessly. We don't have to tell the sun to rise every day. God does. We don't Thank goodness, for instance. Number one let me back up. I wonder how AI can measure up to the five characteristics of the Holy Spirit. For instance, number one wisdom.

Chaplain Terry Warner:

Proverbs 4, verse 7. Wisdom is the principal thing. Therefore, get wisdom and with all thy getting, get understanding. Don't confuse acquiring knowledge with getting wisdom. The basic beginning of wisdom is the fear of the Lord. Proverbs 1.7. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction.

Chaplain Terry Warner:

Number 2 Understanding. Proverbs 3.5. Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not unto your own understanding. Number three Counsel. It gives the believer the ability to know good from evil. Man left up to his own counsel and reasoning will pick a path that seems right to him, but in the end it is the way of death.

Chaplain Terry Warner:

Proverbs 14, 12. There is a way which seems right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death. Number four fortitude. First Timothy 6, 12. Fight the good fight of faith. Lay hold of eternal life, whereunto you are called and has professed a good profession before many witnesses. In other words, stand up for what you believe and have some courage.

Chaplain Terry Warner:

Number five knowledge. First corinthians twelve eight by the spirit, the word of wisdom to another, the word of knowledge by the same spirit. Knowledge lets the believer relate the scripture for using and studying the word, whereas wisdom gives the believers the ability to direct and choose god's lead and a direction for living a successful life. I may know some things, but it may not be wise to let somebody else know. Silence a lot of times will always mean consent as a rule, but it will also save you a lot of trouble instead of telling everybody what you think or what you know. We really don't need to know that to be truthful, including myself.

Chaplain Terry Warner:

Number six piety refers to devotion to God or religious practices. First Timothy 5.4,. But if any widow has children or nephews, let them learn first to show piety at home and to requite their parents, for that is good and acceptable to God. Let's clear that up a little bit. Let's make this easy to understand. But if a widow has children or grandchildren, see to it that these are first made to understand. It is their religious duty to defray the natural obligation to those at home and make return to their parents or grandparents for all their care by contributing to their maintenance, for this is acceptable in the sight of god. First timothy 5 4 an easier way to say it as children, be respectful and obey your parents and show a fervent respect for them.

Chaplain Terry Warner:

Number seven fear of the Lord. Proverbs 1 7. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instructions. Hopefully you understand that AI is the world's go-to platform for replacing faith. If we just only had more knowledge, more education, bigger and faster computers, we could control the weather, global temperatures, natural resources and oh yes, people. What AI doesn't understand is that the issues of life flow out of the heart of man and not out of the brain Proverbs 4.23.

Chaplain Terry Warner:

Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it are the issues of life. Let's look at Proverbs 4.20-27. I'm just going to basically read it. My son, attend to my words. Incline your ear unto my sayings. Let them not depart from your eyes. Incline your ear unto my sayings. Let them not depart from your eyes. Keep them in the midst of your heart, for they are life unto those that find them and health to all their flesh. Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it are the issues of life.

Chaplain Terry Warner:

Put away from you a forward or difficult to deal with, contrary mouth and perverse. That's showing a deliberate and obstinate desire to behave in a way that is unreasonable or unacceptable, often, in spite of the consequences. Want the truth, want to know how to live in abundance, prosperity, health and a good and fulfilled life. You won't find it in AI, but only in God's Word. I would suggest that you put your smart device away and see what the Creator of all things would advise you to do.

Chaplain Terry Warner:

Start by reading His Word, the Holy Bible. Not the AI version, but the King James version or the New King James version. That's what I would recommend. After all, it is because of him that we live and move and have our being Acts 17, 28. Are you living, moving and being a part of the solution to the evil in this world, or are you at best treading water? If you are the solution or God's side, great. However, if you are still at your best treading water to stay afloat, how much longer can you survive before you start to sink? Now is the time to learn to swim through the water of life before the tidal waves overtake you. It is only by God's goodness and God's grace that any of us have made it this far in life. You have a blessed day In Jesus' name, amen. Okay, here you go.
