Again, you'll have to excuse my speech. I've had dental surgery and I'll do my best to talk plain and slow. Your foundation scriptures is first, chronicles 22, 2 through 5, luke, 17, 20 and 21, matthew 6, 27 and 33-34 and Hiley's Bible Handbook 2000.

Chaplain Terry Warner:

For 400 years Israel had only had a tent, the tabernacle, as the house of God among them, and God, it seemed, had satisfied that. Satisfied God, he was content to live in a tent. Second, samuel 7, 5 through 7. Yet when it appeared to expedience that they were to have a temple, god wanted to have a say as to the kind of building it should be so. So God gave David plans for it in his own handwriting. You'll find that in 1 Chronicles 28, 19 and Exodus 25. It would be magnificent and it would be famous throughout the world. 1 Chronicles 22, 55. David had wanted to build a temple, but he was not allowed to because he was a man of war. God helped David in his wars, but he did not think a man of war should build his temple. Why, well, other conquered nations might feel bitter toward Israel's God, and God's purpose was to win, through his nation, other nations to himself. God is a loving God. That's sort of hard to see sometimes in the Old Testament unless you know the background and the history. The tabernacle was a tent for 400 years. Solomon's glory, however, was short-lived Tent. Solomon's glory, however, was short-lived since Solomon's temple glory. It was plundered within five years after Solomon's death and was destroyed by the Babylonians 340 years later.

Chaplain Terry Warner:

Let's look at some temples of God. The first one is being the tabernacle, which we talked about with the tent. The second one, solomon's Temple. The third one is Zerubbabel's Temple, also known as the Second Temple, built after the return of captivity, and it lasted right at 500 years. Herod's Temple this was the temple which Christ came to. It was an extension of Zerubbabel's temple built by Herod the Great. It was truly a magnificent building of marble and gold and surrounded by courts and porticoes. It was destroyed by the Romans in 70 AD.

Chaplain Terry Warner:

Now get back to Solomon's temple and they hewn all these stones at the quarry and at the temple site. There was no hammering or fitting into place or banging or nailing or anything like that. They were all laid in and they fit. It was built of great stones, cedar beams and boards overlaid with gold. Great stones, cedar beams and boards overlaid with gold. 1 Kings 6, 14-22,. 1 Kings 7, 9-12. The gold and the silver and other materials used in the building of the temple of Solomon 1 Chronicles 22, 14-16,. 1 Chronicles 29, 2-9 came to some 370 tons, making it the most costly and resplendent building of its day. The pomp and grandeur drew the object of greed to other kings.

Chaplain Terry Warner:

The next temple is Christ's body. That's the fifth temple. After chasing the money changers out of the temple, jesus said destroy this temple and I will raise it again in three days. John 2, 19. He didn't mean the physical temple, he meant the temple of his body. Sixth, the church is a temple of God, god's dwelling place in the world. 1 Corinthians 3, 16-19.

Chaplain Terry Warner:

There is no biblical evidence for calling a church, building a temple. The church is a group of believers or a believer. Each individual Christian is a temple of God. 1 Corinthians 6, 19. We have seen how God furnished and built the physical temples of the past. In doing so, we come to the realization that physical temples will only last so long. Therefore, god has chosen to make, to build or make His dwelling inside a man. Whatever God makes is not subject to the decay and the death cycle found in the earth. That is because man is not in Christ, under a curse.

Chaplain Terry Warner:

Therefore, I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink, or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food and the body more important than clothes? More importance than food and the body more importance than clothes? Look at the birds of the air. They neither sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?

Chaplain Terry Warner:

Verse 27. Who of you, by worrying, can add a single hour to his life? And why do you worry about clothes? See how the lilies of the field grow. They do not labor, they don't spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon, in all his splendor, was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes, the grass of the field which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, which he is not much more, will he not much more clothe you.

Chaplain Terry Warner:

So do not worry saying what shall we eat or what shall we drink, or what shall we wear For the pagans. Run after these things, and your Heavenly Father knows that you need them, but seek first His kingdom and His righteousness. That's right and just standing concerning everything, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore, do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. Matthew 6, 25 through 34. Just one more thing we are concerned about when and how.

Chaplain Terry Warner:

The rapture. Don't write and tell me. The rapture is not in the Bible, neither is the word Trinity so there. But we seem to be so sick, so fixated on getting out of here, that we are neglecting the saving of souls and the discipling of the nations that have lost their vision. It says in the word that people without a vision perish. Therefore, since I live in america, I can see the decline over time to our great nation. We have taken god out of our schools, stopped praying and asking for his guidance, the murder and mutilization of innocent children we have brought in and thrived on lying, cheating, stealing, proudly display our godless activities as wicked and evil as holidays.

Chaplain Terry Warner:

Don't try and get me off subject or consider me some kind of deviant. I am first a Christian, then a father, then to my wife a husband, and that all God has given to me. There was a time when none of that was around. My only goal is that hopefully, I can convince others that knowing Christ and coming to a saving knowledge is better by far than spending eternity in hell, separated from a loving God.

Chaplain Terry Warner:

You were created by a loving, compassionate God who would love you, would love for you to become like him, not like me or your vision of a Christian, but liken yourself unto a child of God. There is a wonderful life waiting for you that God has made for you. Take it today. Ask Jesus to come into your heart. Repeat Romans 10, 9 through 10 with me that if you shall confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and shall believe in your heart that God has raised Jesus from the dead, you shall be saved, for with the heart man believes unto righteousness and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Romans 10, 9 and 10. Jesus is waiting on you today. You have a blessed day in Jesus name, amen. Okay, here you go.
